Face Painting

On Friday we did some face painting in Room 4. We do discovery with Katherine every Friday and we were lucky enough do do some face painting this week. Our face paintings were bright and colourful we had lots of fun. Ethan was a penguin who waddled around the class.

Going to the computer suite

Room  4   went    to  the  computer  suite  to  publish   their   favourite   toy reports. We  liked  doing  it because  we  got  to  write  it  by  ourselves. Some of us got to be "techies" and help others. We learnt how to   use  a  computer and ComicLife. Keep an eye out for our reports on our blog soon.

Fractions - a piece of cake! (or fish as the case maybe)

In Room 4 over the past few weeks we have been learning all about fractions. We have learnt to find halves, thirds, quarters, eighths, fifths and tenths. The most important thing to remember when "cutting" up fractions is to make sure that they are all the same size. When each piece is the same size we know we have fair shares!

We had great fun making these colorful fish by cutting circles into all the different fractions we had learnt about in maths.

Picking Olives

We had so much fun helping harvest the olives today with Mr Carter and can't wait to try the oil!

Today we went to pick olives with Mr Carter. My buddies were Emma and Shelby. We got two containers. We had the most. We had to go up the hill to pick the olives.   Campbell 

Today we went olive picking. Me and Luca found big olives that were humongus! Mr Carter is going to turn them into olive oil.    Jasper

Our Super Yummy Feijoa Muffin Recipe!

Sorry for the late reply, but here is the recipe for the muffins we made with Petra. Enjoy!

Feijoa Muffins

Yesterday we made yummy fejioa muffins with Petra.

1. First we mixed the all the ingredients together.
2. Then we put the mixture into the cupcakes.
3. We then baked then in a hot oven till golden.
4. Once they were cool we iced them and put sprinkles on.

Here we are putting on the yummy green sprinkles.
